Abu Dhabi Forum Explores Future Investment Prospects With Chinese Delegation
The Abu Dhabi School of Management (ADSM), linked with the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, recently hosted a significant forum. This event brought together prominent UAE business leaders and a Chinese delegation managing assets over US$4.2 trillion (CNY30 trillion). The gathering underscored the strengthening economic and knowledge ties between Abu Dhabi and Beijing, marking a new phase of collaboration.
Dr Yang Bing, Vice-President of Tsinghua University, led the Chinese delegation. It included senior executives and founders from sectors like advanced manufacturing, energy, semiconductors, healthcare, finance, real estate, culture, and media. These sectors reflect significant influence in global markets.

Khalid Al Fahim, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Family Business Council and Board Member of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, welcomed the delegation. He emphasised the UAE’s openness to international partnerships and its robust economy. Dr Mark Poulin, Acting President of ADSM, reiterated the School’s commitment to fostering international academic and business cooperation. He highlighted innovation and shared prosperity as key elements of the UAE’s sustainable growth vision.
The programme featured sessions on Abu Dhabi’s investment climate, economic diversification, and entrepreneurship. Notable speakers included Joseph Chamoun from the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, Dr Monica Malik from Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Hajar Al Ansari from Hub71, and Magnus Olsson from Careem.
A panel discussion titled "Strengthening Abu Dhabi–China Relations: The Strategic Framework for International Business in Abu Dhabi" was a highlight. Leaders from Investopia, Lloyds Banking Group, the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, and Emirati culture experts participated. They discussed strategies to deepen commercial and investment ties between the UAE and China.
The forum concluded with Dr Poulin reaffirming ADSM’s goal to develop globally minded business leaders who can drive innovation and boost the UAE’s global competitiveness. Tsinghua University is ranked first in China and 20th globally in the QS 2025 rankings. It has produced many of China’s top leaders.
Advancing Cooperation
This event marked a milestone in advancing cooperation between Abu Dhabi and Beijing in innovation, entrepreneurship, and executive education. The discussions reflected growing UAE–China economic relations.
