Abu Dhabi Finance Week 2024 To Unite Industry Leaders Across Diverse Events

Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, the third edition of Abu Dhabi Finance Week (ADFW) has been announced. The event, hosted by ADGM, will feature 50 events and sub-events from 9th to 12th December 2024 under the theme ‘Welcome to the Capital of Capital’.

The opening ceremony on 9th December will set the stage for ADFW’s third edition. It will feature an exclusive guest list of top financial leaders and economic heads from Abu Dhabi. This ceremony will establish the tone and agenda for numerous pivotal discussions throughout the week.

Following the opening ceremony, one of last year's most successful events, the Abu Dhabi Economic Forum, will return. This forum will analyse strategies, policies, and investments shaping Abu Dhabi’s Falcon Economy. Senior leaders from the host government and international financial institutions will discuss contributions to both local economic growth and global markets.

On 10th December, ADFW's second day, the third edition of 'Asset Abu Dhabi' will be held alongside 'RESOLVE', an International Dispute Resolution Conference. Asset Abu Dhabi will focus on public and private market evolution, future technology investments, city investments, and insights from major hedge funds. It aims to gather asset allocators, managers, investment bankers, VCs, PEs, family offices, and institutional investors.

RESOLVE will bring together key stakeholders from international dispute resolution communities along with leaders from government, industry, technology, and academia. The conference will address challenges faced by dispute resolution professionals under the theme ‘Resilience’. Topics include resilient mindsets in negotiations and technology's role in better dispute resolution.

Fintech Abu Dhabi

On 11th December 2024, Fintech Abu Dhabi returns for its eighth edition as part of ADFW. This event will gather tech innovators, developers, scientists, entrepreneurs, and alternative investors to showcase future finance areas like payment systems, digital assets, digital security, and credit. Side events include the Global Financial Regulators Summit, AI Forum, Blockchain Abu Dhabi among others.

Abu Dhabi Sustainable Finance Forum

The final day of ADFW on 12th December will host the seventh edition of the Abu Dhabi Sustainable Finance Forum (ADSFF). Following a special edition at COP28 last year, ADSFF is now part of ADFW 2024 to highlight climate finance development. Discussions on Regulation, Awareness, Collaboration and Ecosystem will show how Abu Dhabi leads in sustainable green finance.

Diverse Lineup of Events

Other significant side events during ADFW include Women in Finance sessions, ADGM Academy Showcase (ADGMA), Youth in Finance initiatives and a Philanthropy Summit. Additionally announced in July was the UAE-China Summit presented by HSBC as one of this year’s sub-events.
