Abu Dhabi Expands IFHAS Programme To Over 150 Healthcare Facilities For Enhanced Community Health
The Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC), under the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH), has made a significant announcement regarding the availability of the "IFHAS" comprehensive health screening programme. This initiative is accessible to all Thiqa cardholders aged between 18 and 75 years, with more than 150 healthcare facilities across Abu Dhabi participating. These include establishments affiliated with Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), M42, NMC Healthcare, Mediclinic Middle East, and Burjeel Holdings.
ADPHC has recently highlighted the importance of the IFHAS programme as a crucial requirement for maintaining eligibility for full insurance benefits. The programme aims at preventing diseases and facilitating the early detection of chronic conditions such as cardiovascular diseases, common cancers, oral and dental health issues, bone health concerns, and mental health problems. It encompasses a full health risk assessment derived from a general health questionnaire alongside results from comprehensive clinical examinations.

Dr. Omniyat Al Hajeri, Executive Director of the Community Health Sector at ADPHC, emphasized the programme's vital role in enhancing community health and safety. "The Comprehensive Health Screening Programme is pivotal in improving health outcomes through early disease detection and providing proactive care measures," she stated. Dr. Al Hajeri also encouraged community members to book their screening appointments, highlighting that the process takes between two to four hours and represents an investment in healthier living.
Dr. Asma Al Halaseh, Chief Executive Officer of Ambulatory Healthcare Services (AHS), a subsidiary of PureHealth, expressed commitment to improving community well-being in Abu Dhabi through such proactive screening programmes. Safeya Almqtri, Deputy Group Chief Operations Officer at M42, shared her organization's pride in participating in the IFHAS programme since their collaboration began in 2022.
Representatives from NMC Healthcare and Mediclinic Middle East also voiced their organizations' honor in providing IFHAS screenings to Thiqa patients. Dr. Zaka Ullah Khan from NMC highlighted the screenings' central role in illness prevention and community health maintenance. Similarly, Hein van Eck from Mediclinic Middle East reaffirmed their commitment to community health preservation through facilitating health screenings.
John Sunil, CEO of Burjeel Holdings, expressed pride in contributing to public health and preventive care through the IFHAS programme. He emphasized the importance of early detection and proactive management of health conditions in enhancing quality of life.
The IFHAS programme stands as a comprehensive health assessment system, with its new logo symbolizing health and wellness. This reflects the core values of compassion, care, personalized attention, precision, and accuracy that underpin the initiative. Community members are encouraged to book their appointments at any participating facility to secure their health and well-being.
