Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Week 2025 To Launch On 17 November With Family-Friendly Initiatives

Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority (ECA) has unveiled its strategic partners and event schedule for Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Week 2025. This event will occur from 17-23 November across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra. The theme, "Together We Can Make Abu Dhabi a Family-friendly Emirate," encourages societal participation in creating nurturing environments for young children.

The initiative aligns with the UAE’s Year of Community, highlighting the importance of unity in fostering supportive spaces for children and families. ECA announced 51 strategic partners from various sectors, including ADNOC as the Energy Partner, The National Academy for Childhood Development (NACD) as the Visionary Partner, and PureHealth as the Health Partner. These partners will facilitate family-focused activities throughout the week.

During the week, families are encouraged to engage in quality time with their children, promoting cultural identity and heritage. The initiative also supports using technology and AI to aid development while emphasising real-life connections. Efforts will focus on creating more family-friendly spaces across the Emirate.

Sana bint Mohamed Suhail, Minister of Family and Director-General of ECA, stated that prioritising early years is a strategic investment for society. "The early years shape the future of our society," she said. "Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Week 2025 reflects this vision." She emphasised that nurturing every child’s potential is a shared responsibility among families, caregivers, government, private sector, and civil society.

Dr. Ghuwaya Al Neyadi from ADNOC highlighted their commitment to nurturing future generations through collaboration with ECA. "We are delighted to collaborate with the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority on this important initiative," she said. This partnership aims to create meaningful experiences that help every child reach their full potential.

Dr. Meera Saeed AlKaabi from NACD reiterated their dedication to enhancing programs for children and families. As Visionary Partner, NACD will offer workshops for parents on positive parenting approaches and interactive sessions for children inspired by Emirati values. This reflects NACD's role in developing supportive educational environments.

Focus on Child Well-being

Leya Aldamani from PureHealth expressed pride in collaborating with ECA to establish Abu Dhabi as a global benchmark for child well-being. "Every child embodies the future of our community," she said. By building supportive environments, they aim to empower growth and lay foundations for thriving generations.

The 2025 edition of Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Week offers 209 community activations, with over 170 open to the public. These include interactive workshops, play-based learning experiences, cultural showcases, sports activities, and wellness events. Most activities are free; some require tickets or invitations.
