The Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority (ECA) and the Ministry of Education (MoE) have unveiled a series of workshops and awareness sessions. These initiatives are part of the UAE Children’s Digital Wellbeing Pact, coinciding with preparations for Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Week 2025. The sessions aim to guide students, families, and educators in fostering safer and more positive technology use among children.
Meta, in partnership with Digital Bridge, will conduct workshops in schools. These sessions will assist families in managing screen time, supporting children online, and cultivating healthy digital habits at home. Additionally, e& UAE will host an online session on cybersecurity. This session is designed to teach students how to navigate the internet safely, treat others respectfully, and protect themselves from cyberbullying.

Yango Play is set to present a workshop titled "Safe Screens, Smart Choices by Yango Play." This event will be held in collaboration with the Ministry of Education at one school. It will focus on educational content for students, parents, and educators. The workshop will highlight the significance of age-appropriate content, parental controls, and creating a safer digital environment for young users.
Dr. Hessa Al Kaabi from ECA emphasised the importance of integrating technology safely into family life. She stated that these sessions are a commitment to promoting online safety and responsible screen use. "Technology is now part of every family’s story - and it’s on us to make sure it’s a story of safety, confidence, and connection," she said.
Dr. Omar Al Dhaheri from the Ministry of Education highlighted the launch of the UAE Children’s Digital Wellbeing Pact as crucial for preparing children for the digital world. He noted that embedding digital literacy and AI ethics into education is vital for nurturing smart generations who can confidently shape the future.
Collaborative Efforts for Safer Digital Experiences
The UAE Children’s Digital Wellbeing Pact was signed during the World Government Summit 2025. Companies such as META, Google, TikTok, Snapchat, X, Yango Play, Samsung, e& UAE, and du are signatories committed to creating safer digital experiences for youth.
These collaborative efforts underscore a shared dedication to equipping young people with tools for thriving in a digital landscape.
