Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge To Embark On Exciting New Route With ADNOC Support
The Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge (ADDC) is gearing up for an unprecedented 33rd edition, introducing a novel route that promises to elevate the competition to new heights. Scheduled from February 26 to March 2, this year's edition marks a significant evolution in the rally's storied history. As a key event in the FIA & FIM World Rally-Raid Championship (W2RC), the ADDC has consistently showcased the spirit of adventure and competition in the heart of the desert. The Emirates Motorsports Organisation (EMSO) is at the forefront of these developments, enhancing the challenge with more demanding sections, supported by ADNOC Distribution as the official Energy Partner.
Bader Saeed Al Lamki, CEO of ADNOC Distribution, expressed enthusiasm about their continued partnership with EMSO, emphasizing their commitment to providing high-grade energy for powerful engines. This collaboration ensures that competitors can perform at their best across the challenging 2250-kilometre course. This year, the course will traverse through remote areas of the Empty Quarter, also known as Rub Al Khali, and extend to Al Dhannah and Mezair’Ah in the Liwa Region. This expansion not only tests the limits of the participants but also brings the exhilarating rally action closer to fans.

The ADDC stands as a pivotal round in the W2RC Rally-Raid Championship, further cementing the long-standing collaboration between EMSO and ADNOC Distribution. The introduction of refuelling stations along the course, especially in the Empty Quarter's most isolated stretches, underscores ADNOC Distribution's role in ensuring the rally's success. The move to include Al Dhannah and Mezair’Ah in this year's route reflects a strategic effort by the Government of Abu Dhabi, ADNOC Distribution, and EMSO to foster development in these areas and enhance spectator engagement.
The anticipation for this year's Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge is palpable among fans and competitors alike. With its challenging new route and strategic partnerships, the event is set to offer an unparalleled rally-raid experience. As competitors from around the globe prepare to take on this formidable challenge, all eyes are on Abu Dhabi for what promises to be an unforgettable edition of the ADDC.
