GITEX Global 2024 will attract numerous participants worldwide, including startups and leading firms in AI, cybersecurity, mobility, and sustainable tech. These entities will present their latest innovations and future plans that support economic growth and contribute to a sustainable digital future. The DoE aims to highlight its role in developing digital capabilities within the energy sector.

Ahmed Mohammed Al Rumaithi, Under-Secretary of the DoE, remarked on their participation: "The DoE’s participation in GITEX highlights our vital role in developing digital capabilities and solutions for the energy sector. This event offers a valuable platform to exchange experiences, explore the latest technological innovations, and unlock new opportunities to improve the efficiency and sustainability of Abu Dhabi's energy sector."
Innovation is central to the DoE's strategy. It plays a key role in driving economic development and achieving energy efficiency and sustainability. The department aims for climate neutrality by 2050 while fostering collaboration with stakeholders. This approach encourages innovation to tackle environmental challenges and reduce carbon emissions effectively.
The DoE will introduce several new digital initiatives at GITEX. One such initiative is a virtual reality application designed for gas safety awareness. This interactive tool simulates safety procedures within virtual residential buildings and villas. Users can safely engage with liquefied petroleum gas while learning safety protocols through educational panels.
Educational Tools for Sustainability
Additionally, the EnergiX app will be showcased by the DoE. This interactive educational game targets students aged 10 to 14 on iOS and Android platforms. It aims to raise awareness about conserving water and electricity while engaging users in discussions about natural resource preservation.
The virtual reality application also educates users on compliance guidelines and introduces safety benefits alongside maintenance responsibilities. It provides realistic simulations for managing emergency gas leak situations, enhancing user understanding of safety protocols.
Commitment to Clean Energy Transition
The DoE will also spotlight its sustainability efforts at GITEX Global 2024. These include initiatives aimed at decarbonising the sector and promoting innovative solutions for transitioning to clean energy sources.
