Abu Dhabi Customs Hosts Pioneers Forum To Foster Sustainable Institutional Excellence
Abu Dhabi Customs recently hosted the "Pioneers Forum" to enhance its commitment to institutional excellence. This event aimed to foster sustainable leadership and encourage employees to adopt best practices from both government and international spheres. It also served as a platform for sharing knowledge and promoting collaboration among teams.
The forum was attended by senior leaders, including Rashed Lahej Al Mansoori, Director-General of Abu Dhabi Customs. The event showcased the organisation's achievements within the government excellence framework and discussed future plans. A key highlight was the recognition ceremony for the "Al Hosn Award 2025" winners, celebrating employee and team achievements across various departments.

Rashed Lahej Al Mansoori emphasised that the "Pioneers Forum" aligns with Abu Dhabi Customs' strategic goal of fostering a culture of excellence through innovation and sustainability. He highlighted that developing professional talent and adopting advanced technologies are crucial for achieving digital leadership in customs operations.
The award evaluation process was designed to ensure fairness and transparency, encouraging healthy competition among departments. Assessments were based on established institutional excellence criteria, focusing on individual and team achievements, success stories, and the impact of initiatives on organisational performance.
The recognition ceremony honoured 36 winners from various roles, including supervisory, technical, professional, field, administrative support, and customer happiness categories. This initiative aims to instil a culture of excellence within Abu Dhabi Customs by acknowledging outstanding contributions from employees across different sections.
Rashed Lahej Al Mansoori noted that excellence is not a short-term goal but a continuous approach that leads to measurable improvements in service quality and performance. The organisation's success in achieving full automation and digital transformation has resulted in strong performance outcomes over recent years.
Between 2021 and 2025, Abu Dhabi Customs received 162 regional and international awards, highlighting the impact of its transformation journey. These efforts contribute to Abu Dhabi's status as a global hub for trade and business while supporting the strategic objectives of Abu Dhabi Customs.
