Abu Dhabi Citizens To Receive First Housing Benefits Package In 2024, Approved By Crown Prince
Under the guidance of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi has initiated the distribution of a substantial housing and benefits package to its citizens. His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, has sanctioned the first disbursement for 2024, valued at AED2.18 billion. This financial aid aims to support 1,502 citizens across the emirate, enhancing their living standards and promoting social stability.
The package encompasses housing loans, ready-built houses, and residential land grants, collectively worth more than AED2.082 billion, benefiting 1,407 citizens. Additionally, a significant portion of the package, exceeding AED98 million, is allocated to exempt senior citizens, low-income retirees, and families of deceased citizens from housing loan payments, directly aiding 95 beneficiaries.
Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, expressed gratitude towards the leadership for their commitment to citizen welfare. He highlighted that this initiative is a testament to the leadership's dedication to fulfilling housing needs and fostering community cohesion.
Hamad Hareb Al Muhairi, Director General of Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, reiterated the leadership's focus on improving the quality of life for Emirati citizens. He stressed the authority's ongoing efforts to enhance housing programs and services in alignment with national objectives.
This year's housing benefits distribution aligns with Eid Al Fitr celebrations, underscoring the leadership's intent to ensure the wellbeing of Emirati families during festive times. The initiative not only aims to provide adequate housing but also to bolster familial and social stability within Abu Dhabi. Since its inception, the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority has disbursed over AED149 billion in housing benefits, significantly contributing to the emirate's comprehensive development.
