Sustainability Label Leaders Recognised By Abu Dhabi Chamber At ADSW 2026

The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry is placing sustainability at the centre of private-sector growth strategies, using the Sustainability Label to highlight companies meeting advanced standards in environment, social responsibility and governance, and using this recognition to support competitiveness, risk management and long-term value creation across Abu Dhabi’s evolving economic landscape.

The recognition of leading companies takes place during Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2026, aligning the Chamber’s initiatives with wider national objectives for sustainable economic development in the UAE, and strengthening Abu Dhabi’s position as a regional hub for responsible investment, innovation and institutional readiness amid global economic and regulatory shifts.

Sustainability Label Leaders recognised

Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2026 serves as a backdrop for the latest Sustainability Label awards, which acknowledge companies that show structured commitment to sustainability, while the Abu Dhabi Chamber uses this platform to encourage wider adoption of measurable practices that connect commercial performance with environmental and social outcomes across many industries.

The Chamber views this recognition as part of its role as a strategic partner to private enterprises, helping companies integrate sustainability into core planning, strengthen resilience, improve transparency for investors and stakeholders, and prepare operational models for future changes in regulation, technology, market expectations and global supply-chain requirements.

The Sustainability Label Programme, developed by the Abu Dhabi Chamber, is designed as a practical framework that links readiness assessments, capacity-building and institutional classification, allowing participating businesses to map their current sustainability maturity, define improvement priorities and gradually integrate workable sustainability measures into daily operations and long-term strategies.

Under the Sustainability Label structure, companies receive guidance on embedding environment, social and governance standards into internal processes, while the programme also offers specialised advisory support and tools that can strengthen credibility, improve access to financing and investment, and support growth in both local markets and international value chains.

Sustainability Label assessment results for Abu Dhabi Chamber companies

The Abu Dhabi Chamber applies approved assessment criteria across several sustainability dimensions to classify participating organisations, with the level of institutional readiness determining whether a company enters the Diamond, Gold, Silver or Bronze categories, and these classifications reflect both current performance and ongoing commitment to improving sustainable practices.

During Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2026, companies from diverse economic sectors receive Sustainability Label recognition, indicating that sustainability has moved beyond optional initiatives and is now a core determinant of operating models, risk oversight and long-term planning across Abu Dhabi’s business community.

Sustainability Label impact on Abu Dhabi Chamber private sector

Shamis Ali Khalfan Al Dhaheri, Second Vice Chairman and Managing Director of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, said, "The Abu Dhabi Chamber believes that sustainability has become a fundamental pillar for building a competitive economy capable of keeping pace with future transformations. Honouring companies that have received the Sustainability Label reflects the Chamber’s commitment to supporting the private sector and encouraging companies to adopt responsible practices that strengthen institutional readiness, enhance operational efficiency and support sustainable growth."

The Abu Dhabi Chamber reports that participating companies use the Sustainability Label framework to refine risk management systems, increase efficiency in resource use and improve clarity in strategic planning, as they align governance models with future expectations and develop internal cultures that prioritise responsibility, innovation and data-driven decision-making.

Representatives of recognised companies state that achieving the Sustainability Label "marks a significant milestone in the evolution of their businesses" and that the programme has prompted qualitative changes in operating models through more efficient, sustainability-focused practices applied to everyday activities, project execution and stakeholder engagement across their organisations.

Company representatives note that the programme’s tools support higher productivity, lower waste and better resource use, while advanced governance frameworks help clarify risks, support more confident planning and enable earlier anticipation of future challenges, including new regulations, climate-related pressures and investor requirements in regional and global markets.

Ali Mohamed Al Marzooqi, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said, "Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week serves as a global platform that brings together leaders and expertise from across sectors. This recognition underscores the pivotal role played by companies in achieving sustainable economic development objectives and in strengthening integration between economic performance and environmental and social responsibility."

According to company feedback collected by the Abu Dhabi Chamber, the Sustainability Label strengthens corporate credibility, supports recognition as responsible organisations among partners, clients and investors, opens new competitive opportunities in modern supply chains, and improves the quality of management decision-making, thereby supporting balanced, sustainable growth and reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s position as a centre for business and investment.
