Membership in the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) has increased to 157,207 companies, marking a 4.9 percent rise from September 2024 to June 2025. This growth highlights the Chamber's dedication to empowering businesses with tailored services, bridging the private and public sectors, and enhancing access to investment opportunities.

The Chamber's performance aligns with Abu Dhabi's economic progress. The emirate's GDP reached AED291 billion in Q1 2025, showing a 3.4 percent year-on-year increase. This was driven by a 6.1 percent rise in non-oil sectors, which now make up 56.2 percent of the total GDP, showcasing the success of economic diversification strategies.

Abu Dhabi Chamber Membership Grows to Over 157,000

The private sector plays a crucial role in accelerating economic growth and diversification. It significantly contributes to high-growth non-oil sectors such as manufacturing, construction, finance, real estate, and trade. These sectors are among the largest contributors to economic output.

ADCCI has hosted numerous events since September 2024 to support this growth. It organised 69 business events with government bodies and welcomed 70 trade and diplomatic delegations. Additionally, it signed 25 partnership agreements and joined 11 outbound delegations while opening its first overseas representative office in Poland.

Shamis Ali Al Dhaheri, Second Vice Chairman and Managing Director of ADCCI, stated: "Abu Dhabi’s economic strength is reflected in the number of new members, and we believe strong partnerships between the public and private sectors will continue to produce success." He emphasised that membership growth underscores the Chamber’s strategic role as a key partner in economic development.

Internally, ADCCI has enhanced its services significantly. Between September 2024 and June 2025, it achieved a customer satisfaction rating of 90.23 percent on the TAMM platform. The Chamber's call centre handled over 18,900 inquiries, reflecting its commitment to responsiveness and service quality.

Supporting Private Sector Initiatives

The Chamber continues supporting the private sector by improving regulatory frameworks and facilitating dialogue with policymakers. It has formed 15 working groups with business leaders to identify challenges and develop solutions across key industries. Additionally, it published 364 economic reports for decision-making support.

ADCCI also held ten workshops attended by over 1,000 private sector representatives to help them understand legal and commercial opportunities better. Seven companies were honoured with the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award for their commitment to quality and innovation.

Future Roadmap

The Chamber's work aligns with Abu Dhabi’s Falcon Economy objectives and supports national economic goals through targeted support for SMEs, exporters, and investors. Its roadmap for 2025–2028 was developed in collaboration with the private sector to guide efforts in providing market insights and investment opportunities.

Effective communication is vital for promoting Abu Dhabi’s business environment. Al Dhaheri highlighted national media's role in spotlighting private sector achievements and amplifying success stories that capture Abu Dhabi’s transformation into a world-class business destination.

The roadmap aims at strengthening capacity building while contributing to sustainable growth in Abu Dhabi’s economy. Through these initiatives, ADCCI remains committed to fostering an inclusive economic environment that benefits all stakeholders involved.
