Abu Dhabi's Department Of Health To Showcase AI-Powered Healthcare Innovations At GITEX Global 2025

The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) is set to highlight its AI-driven healthcare innovations at GITEX Global 2025. This event, from 13th-17th October at the Dubai World Trade Centre, will showcase Abu Dhabi's leadership in digital health. The focus is on creating a smart healthcare ecosystem that offers personalised care, predicts health issues, and enhances community well-being.

During GITEX, DoH will introduce several transformative projects aimed at integrating AI across healthcare systems. These initiatives demonstrate Abu Dhabi's dedication to expanding innovative solutions globally. A key feature is the Next-Gen Wellness programme, which uses wearables and AI to promote preventive and personalised care, aiming to extend healthy life expectancy.

Visitors can explore the Smart Healthcare Platform, a cloud-based system using AI and digital tools for continuous health interventions. This platform aims to improve health outcomes by leveraging advanced technology. Dr. Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi, Under-Secretary of DoH, stated, "At the core of Abu Dhabi’s healthcare transformation is a simple goal: improving lives."

Abu Dhabi serves as a global testbed for health innovation, offering partners opportunities to develop and scale solutions from pilot stages to widespread adoption. This approach benefits communities both locally and internationally by advancing healthcare technologies.

DoH will also participate in Expand North Star at Dubai Harbour from 12-15 October. Here, they will highlight Abu Dhabi's role as a hub for health-tech start-ups and accelerators. Insights on regulation, innovation, and collaboration will be shared to build future healthcare systems.

Two panel discussions hosted by DoH during GITEX will delve into AI's impact on healthcare. The first discussion focuses on building intelligent healthcare systems through data-driven technologies that enhance patient care and personalise treatments. The second explores how AI redefines longevity by promoting preventive care and reducing chronic disease burdens.

Dr. Al Ghaithi emphasised the importance of reshaping care delivery through AI and digital innovation: "By harnessing the power of AI and digital innovation, we are reshaping how care is delivered." This transformation aims to create healthier lives by integrating technology into everyday healthcare practices.
