Absher Conference 2025 Opens In Riyadh As Saudi Interior Minister Unveils Digital Governance Initiatives

Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz inaugurated the Absher Conference 2025 in Riyadh on Wednesday, as the Ministry of Interior launched a three-day programme focused on digital governance, artificial intelligence applications and advanced public services for citizens, residents, pilgrims and visitors.

During the opening, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud attended a ceremony where a Guinness World Records representative confirmed several records linked to the Absher Tuwaiq Hackathon, highlighting the scale of participation and security-focused innovation activities held under the umbrella of the Absher Conference 2025.

Absher Conference 2025 opens in Riyadh

The Guinness World Records official announced that the Ministry of Interior achieved multiple records through the Absher Tuwaiq Hackathon, including the largest hackathon with more than 4,100 participants, the most participants in a hackathon, the largest security innovation hackathon and the largest digital solutions hackathon held worldwide.

Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud viewed a documentary about the Absher Tuwaiq Hackathon, which outlined the stages of the event, participation levels and technical focus areas, before honouring the winning teams and recognising the contributions of participants and organisers linked to Absher Conference 2025 activities.

As part of the programme, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud witnessed the signing of an agreement between the Ministry of Interior and the global artificial intelligence company HUMAIN, aimed at integrating and supporting AI solutions across the ministry’s platforms and operational sectors connected with the Absher Conference 2025 agenda.

The agreement was signed by Deputy Assistant Minister of Interior for Technology Affairs Thamer Al-Harbi and HUMAIN chief executive Tareq Amin, formalising cooperation designed to embed artificial intelligence within services and systems supervised by the ministry and showcased at the Absher Conference 2025.

Absher Conference 2025 programme, sessions and workshops

The Absher Conference 2025 is organised by the Ministry of Interior in partnership with Tuwaiq Academy and runs from December 17 to 19, featuring more than 60 main sessions, 80 workshops, 150 speakers and 10 interactive zones aimed at providing visitors with diverse digital experiences.

Conference organisers state that this year’s Absher Conference 2025 introduces a new concept and updated approach based on international standards, emphasising the ministry’s role in advancing digital transformation efforts in line with Saudi Vision 2030 and the directives of the Saudi leadership on e-government development.

Absher Conference 2025 exhibition, platform role and digital services

Following the opening, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud toured the accompanying exhibition of the Absher Conference 2025, visiting several key pavilions and receiving technical briefings on advanced systems, security solutions and innovative platforms presented by participating entities and digital service providers at the event.

Earlier, after the royal anthem was played, Assistant Minister of Interior for Technology Affairs Prince Bandar bin Abdullah Al-Mishari delivered a speech highlighting the Absher platform’s role in providing digital services to citizens, residents, visitors, pilgrims and tourists, and its contribution to developing digital governance within the ministry.

Through its sessions, exhibition and hackathon results, the Absher Conference 2025 presents the Ministry of Interior’s current digital projects, outlines cooperation with partners such as Tuwaiq Academy and HUMAIN, and documents international recognition for large-scale innovation events conducted under the ministry’s supervision in Riyadh.
