Abrahamic Family House Celebrates Winners Of Eminence Ahmed El-Tayeb Mosque Quran Competition

Abu Dhabi's Abrahamic Family House recently celebrated the winners of the Eminence Ahmed El-Tayeb Mosque Quran Competition. This event, organised with the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments and Zakat, saw participation from about 150 individuals across the UAE. Participants, both young and old, showcased their dedication to the Quran through memorisation and recitation.

Fifty participants were recognised for their exceptional memorisation abilities in five categories. These categories included those who memorised the entire Quran, as well as 20 juz', 10 juz', 5 juz', and 1 juz'. The ceremony was attended by notable guests such as Professor Mohammed Al-Mahrasawy, Chairman of Al-Azhar Academy for Training, HE Judge Mohamed Abdelsalam, Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders, and HE Sheikh Talib Al Shahi from the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments.

Winners Honoured at Quran Competition Ceremony

The competition ran from 20th January to 5th February. It was open to participants from all over the UAE, celebrating their commitment to the teachings of the Quran through impressive memorisation skills. This event underscores the Abrahamic Family House's dedication to fostering dialogue and understanding among different communities.

The Abrahamic Family House aims to promote peaceful coexistence by encouraging encounters and exchanges that deepen our understanding of shared humanity. Abdulla Al Shehhi, Acting Executive Director of the Abrahamic Family House, stated that this competition is one of the most meaningful programmes organised by the mosque. He highlighted that "the skills and dedication displayed by the competitors reveal essential values, such as mercy, love, and acceptance of others."

This year's competition not only celebrated individual achievements but also emphasised values central to Islam. It aligned with the vision and mission of promoting peace and understanding at the Abrahamic Family House.
