Abdullah Bin Zayed And US Secretary Of State Marco Rubio Discuss Strategic Ties And Regional Developments
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, recently visited Washington DC. He met with Marco Rubio, the US Secretary of State. The meeting took place at the US Department of State headquarters. It focused on strengthening the strategic relationship between the UAE and the United States.
The discussions between Sheikh Abdullah and Rubio covered various areas of bilateral cooperation. They explored opportunities in economic, commercial, scientific, advanced technology, and artificial intelligence sectors. Both leaders expressed their commitment to enhancing these ties for mutual benefit.
Sheikh Abdullah highlighted the enduring strategic partnership between the UAE and the US. He emphasised that the US remains a crucial ally for the UAE. The UAE is dedicated to working closely with the US to strengthen this exceptional relationship further.
The meeting also addressed regional developments and international cooperation. H.H. Sheikh Abdullah reiterated the UAE's eagerness to collaborate with the US and other partners globally. The aim is to promote peace, stability, coexistence, and human fraternity in societies worldwide.
Several key figures accompanied Sheikh Abdullah during this visit. Among them were Yousef Al Otaiba, UAE Ambassador to the US; Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Assistant Minister for Political Affairs; Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, Assistant Minister for Economic and Trade Affairs; and Dr. Maha Taysir Barakat, Assistant Minister for Medical Affairs and Life Sciences at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting also reviewed President Donald Trump's state visit to the UAE in May. Both sides agreed that this visit underscored the robust nature of UAE-US relations. They affirmed their joint determination to deepen cooperation across all fields.
Sheikh Abdullah praised this long-standing partnership as a foundation for achieving greater prosperity and sustainable development for both nations and their peoples.
