Abdullah Bin Zayed Discusses Global Cooperation With Prime Ministers At UNGA 79 In New York

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, engaged in separate discussions with various leaders during the 79th session of the UN General Assembly in New York. He met with Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines; Musalia Mudavadi from Kenya; and Amadou Oury Bah from Guinea.

Sheikh Abdullah also interacted with Jean-Noël Barrot, congratulating him on his new role as Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France. Additionally, he met Péter Szijjártó from Hungary; Sara Beysolow Nyanti from Liberia; Paulson Panapa from Tuvalu; Yusuf Maitama Tuggar from Nigeria; Enrique Manalo from the Philippines; and Eduardo Enrique Reina from Honduras.

Abdullah bin Zayed Meets Global Leaders in New York

The discussions with these leaders covered a wide range of topics on the United Nations General Assembly's agenda. Key areas included economic collaboration, technology advancements, artificial intelligence, trade, investment, culture, education, agriculture, food security, renewable energy, and climate change.

In meetings with foreign ministers, Sheikh Abdullah highlighted the significance of multilateral efforts to tackle global issues. He emphasised enhancing joint actions through international organisations to address these challenges effectively.

Sheikh Abdullah reiterated the UAE's dedication to establishing robust partnerships worldwide. These partnerships are founded on trust, mutual respect, and shared interests aimed at achieving comprehensive development and societal well-being.

During discussions with ministers, Sheikh Abdullah addressed recent regional and international developments. Topics included the Middle East situation and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. He stressed the UAE's unwavering support for global peace and stability.

Humanitarian Efforts

In a related meeting with Cindy McCain, Executive Director of the World Food Programme, Sheikh Abdullah explored cooperation between the UAE and the programme in humanitarian efforts globally. This discussion focused on strategic partnerships to enhance global humanitarian initiatives.

The meetings were attended by several notable figures including Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashimy, Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh, Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, Ambassador Mohamed Abushahab, and Omar Shehadeh.
