Abdullah Bin Zayed And Egypt's Foreign Minister Discuss Bilateral Relations And Regional Developments
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Dr. Badr Abdel Ati, Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Migration, in Abu Dhabi. They discussed regional developments following Israel's recent actions against Qatar. Both diplomats expressed solidarity with Qatar, supporting measures to ensure its security and protect its people.
The meeting also focused on the strong ties between the UAE and Egypt, exploring ways to enhance cooperation within their strategic partnership. Discussions included potential collaboration in key sectors like the economy, trade, and development to support both nations' growth ambitions.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah highlighted the importance of respecting state sovereignty as a core principle of international relations. He stated that any breach of this principle is a violation of the UN Charter and international law. He urged the global community to take responsibility for stopping Israel's aggressive actions.
Both leaders explored advancing joint efforts towards comprehensive peace in the region through a two-state solution. This approach aims to bolster security, stability, and development across the Middle East.
The discussions underscored the deep-rooted fraternal ties between the UAE and Egypt. H.H. Sheikh Abdullah reaffirmed their shared commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation for mutual progress and prosperity.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, and Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Minister of State. Their presence highlighted the importance both countries place on maintaining strong diplomatic relations.
