Abdulla Al Hamed Engages With Los Angeles Media Leaders For Investment Opportunities
Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Office and UAE Media Council, recently engaged with US and global media leaders in Los Angeles. His visit focused on exploring partnerships and investments in media and entertainment. This aligns with the UAE's strategy to become a global hub for these sectors, enhancing economic diversity and boosting creative industries' contributions to the national economy.
Al Hamed emphasised that investing in media and entertainment is crucial for the UAE's vision of economic diversification. He stated, "The UAE is moving forward with its vision to build a globally competitive media and entertainment industry, by leveraging top international experiences, localising knowledge, and transferring technology." His meetings with major companies in Los Angeles aim to foster cooperation with Hollywood's industry leaders.
The discussions included Michael Hackman from Hackman Capital Partners, Sandy Climan of Entertainment Media Ventures, Ronald Burkle from Yucaipa Companies, Chuck Roven of Atlas Entertainment, Jeff Kirschenbaum from Roth/Kirschenbaum Films, Joshua Grode of Legendary Entertainment, and Sam Kozhaya also from Legendary Entertainment. Representatives from Getty Images such as Ken Mainardis and Kirstin Benson were also present.
During these meetings, Al Hamed introduced the "Bridge" platform. This initiative represents an ambitious Emirati vision for fostering creative communication globally.
