54th Watch And Jewellery Middle East Show Concludes With Over 80,000 Visitors And New Exhibitors

Expo Centre Sharjah wrapped up the 54th Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show, drawing over 80,000 visitors. This marked a 7% rise from the last event, solidifying its status as a key jewellery trade show in the Middle East and North Africa. The exhibition spanned five days and was held under the patronage of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi.

The event featured more than 900 exhibitors from major global companies and luxury brands in gold jewellery, timepieces, and gemstones. Notably, 90 new exhibitors from India, Mexico, and East Asia joined participants from the UAE, Italy, the UK, the US, Russia, Singapore, China, Japan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain.

54th Watch and Jewellery Show Attracts Visitors

The final day offered exclusive prize draws with rewards like a kilogramme of gold and luxury jewellery items such as diamond rings and necklaces. Attendees also admired "Meriet Al-Mustaqbal," the world’s largest gold jewellery set made from about 5 kilogrammes of 21-karat gold valued at AED2.5 million.

Emirati designers had a significant presence in the "Emirati Goldsmiths" pavilion. Twenty designers showcased pieces inspired by UAE cultural heritage mixed with modern influences. Among them was the youngest female participant who drew attention with her unique designs.

Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, praised this year's success. He highlighted increased exhibitor numbers and international participation while emphasising sustainable growth. He noted that many exhibitors plan to return for future editions due to its impact on advancing the gold and jewellery sector in the UAE.

Sharjah Business Women Council Pavilion Debut

This edition introduced the Sharjah Business Women Council (SBWC) pavilion featuring jewellery crafted by its members. The pavilion attracted considerable interest from attendees eager to see innovative designs by women entrepreneurs.

Among standout creations were a winged Arabian falcon masterpiece valued at AED4.2 million and a purebred Arabian horse figurine priced at AED3.25 million. Additionally, an extravagant diamond set worth AED8 million captivated visitors with its opulence.

The show also displayed the world's longest "Mertasha," measuring 220 cm and priced over AED2.3 million. These impressive pieces highlighted creativity and craftsmanship within the industry while drawing significant attention from visitors worldwide.

Overall, this year's Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show demonstrated remarkable growth in participation and visitor numbers while showcasing exceptional talent across various regions. The event continues to play an essential role in promoting innovation within the jewellery sector both locally and internationally.
