NCC Invites Public Feedback On 47 Economic Development Projects Via Istitlaa Platform

The National Competitiveness Center (NCC) has introduced 47 projects on its Public Consultation Platform, Istitlaa. These projects, developed with 24 government bodies, invite feedback from the public, government entities, and the private sector before approval. This initiative aims to enhance transparency and encourage public involvement in shaping regulations related to economic and development affairs.

One significant project on the Istitlaa platform is from the Ministry of Culture. Titled ‘Implementing Regulation for the Crafts and Handicrafts Law,’ it seeks to promote and safeguard crafts integral to Saudi Arabia's cultural heritage. The public can provide their feedback on this project until a specified date.

Public Feedback Open on 47 Projects

The Transport General Authority has also presented a project titled ‘Mechanisms and Regulations for the Continuation of Authorized Individual Taxi Service Providers, and the Penalties Schedule.’ This initiative aims to regulate public taxi services and airport taxi operations for individual providers. Feedback from the public is welcomed until a designated deadline.

Additionally, the General Authority for Statistics is seeking input on a new framework called ‘Charter of Statistical Work Ethics.’ This project focuses on establishing transparency, objectivity, and professional integrity while protecting individual privacy and data credibility throughout statistical processes. Public consultation remains open until a specified date.

The Capital Market Authority has proposed amendments to regulations concerning robo-advisory services through capital market institutions. This project aims to facilitate these institutions in offering robo-advisory services effectively. Public feedback is encouraged until a given deadline.

By introducing draft regulations and by-laws via Istitlaa, there is an emphasis on improving legislative transparency. The platform promotes public participation by allowing citizens, government agencies, and private sectors to share insights on proposed business environment regulations.

This approach not only strengthens legislative processes but also ensures that diverse perspectives are considered in decision-making. It reflects a commitment to fostering an inclusive environment where all stakeholders can contribute meaningfully to regulatory developments.
