44th Edition Of King Abdulaziz Quran Contest Set For August Launch

Under the esteemed patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the 44th edition of the King Abdulaziz International Competition for Memorization, Recitation, and Interpretation of the Holy Quran is set to commence in Makkah this August. This prestigious event, organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, showcases a significant commitment to the Islamic faith, with a generous total prize pool amounting to SAR4 million.

On this notable occasion, Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, extended his gratitude towards King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Their continuous support for the Holy Quran and the Muslim community was highlighted as a cornerstone of their leadership.

The competition is divided into five distinct categories, each designed to test the participants' knowledge and dedication to the Holy Quran. These include memorization of the entire Holy Quran with proper reading and intonation according to the seven variable ways of reading; memorization of the entire holy book along with an interpretation of its vocabulary; proper reading and intonation; memorization of 15 parts of the Holy Quran with proper reading and intonation; and memorization of five parts with proper reading and intonation. This comprehensive structure ensures a wide range of skills are assessed, catering to various levels of expertise among participants.
