Public Consultation Invites Feedback On 42 Projects Via Istitlaa Platform In Saudi Arabia
The National Competitiveness Center (NCC) has introduced 42 projects on its Public Consultation Platform, Istitlaa. These projects, developed in collaboration with 22 government bodies, invite feedback from the public, government entities, and the private sector before approval. This initiative aims to enhance transparency and encourage public participation in shaping regulations related to economic and development affairs.
The General Authority for Awqaf has proposed a significant project titled ‘Regulation of Waqf Investment Products’ on Istitlaa. This project seeks to integrate the endowment sector into Saudi Arabia's economic development by regulating its investment products. Feedback from the public is welcomed until a specified date, allowing stakeholders to contribute their insights.

Another notable project is from the Real Estate General Authority. They are seeking input on a draft titled ‘Table for Classification of Violations of Regulatory Provisions Governing Landlord-Tenant Relationships.’ This initiative aims to categorize violations within landlord-tenant interactions. The consultation period remains open until a designated deadline.
The Saudi Authority of Internal Auditors has launched a consultation on ‘Regulations for Professional Accreditation and Licensing of Consulting Firms.’ This project focuses on regulating the internal auditing profession to ensure efficiency and professionalism. Public feedback is encouraged until a specific date, providing an opportunity for stakeholders to influence the final regulations.
In addition, the Communication, Space and Technology Commission is gathering opinions on a new framework called ‘Regulation for Registration of Telecommunication Space Stations.’ This framework aims to establish guidelines for registering providers of telecommunication space station capacity. The consultation period will remain open until a specified date.
Conservation Efforts
The National Center for Wildlife has introduced a project titled ‘Regulations and Requirements for Establishment of Private Reserves’ on Istitlaa. This initiative seeks to regulate licensing processes for establishing private reserves in Saudi Arabia. Public feedback is invited until a set deadline, allowing citizens to contribute their perspectives on wildlife conservation efforts.
Istitlaa serves as a platform that promotes transparency in legislative processes by inviting public input on draft regulations. It encourages active participation from citizens, government agencies, and private sectors in shaping policies related to the business environment.
This approach not only enhances transparency but also fosters a culture where diverse voices can influence regulatory decisions. By involving various stakeholders, Saudi Arabia aims to create well-rounded policies that reflect the needs and aspirations of its society.
