Saudi Arabia Selects 40 Talented Students For Representation At ISEF 2025
Saudi Arabia is set to send 40 talented students to the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF 2025). This event is the largest global scientific gathering for students in science and engineering. The Ministry of Education, along with the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), announced this selection.
The selection process for these students was based on their performance in the Science and Engineering Fair: Ibdaa 2025. This fair is part of the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity. The chosen students have shown exceptional skills in various scientific and technological fields, earning them a spot on the Saudi national team.

Since 2007, Saudi Arabia has been a regular participant at ISEF, represented by Mawhiba and the Ministry of Education. Over the years, they have achieved significant success, winning a total of 160 awards. These include 110 grand awards and 50 special awards, highlighting their consistent excellence.
ISEF serves as a major platform for pre-university students to engage in research and innovation projects. Each year, it attracts over 1,600 students from more than 70 countries. The event provides an invaluable opportunity for young scientists to present their work to a global audience.
The organisers of ISEF announced an increase in the number of projects representing Saudi Arabia at the upcoming fair. For ISEF 2025, Saudi Arabia will showcase 40 projects, up from the previous count of 35. This expansion reflects the country's growing commitment to nurturing scientific talent.
A panel of esteemed international scientists and experts evaluates participating projects at ISEF. This rigorous assessment allows students to demonstrate their capabilities on an international stage, fostering both personal growth and academic recognition.
This initiative underscores Saudi Arabia's dedication to advancing education in science and technology. By supporting young talents through platforms like ISEF, the nation continues to invest in its future leaders in these crucial fields.
