Public Invited To Provide Feedback On 40 Economic Development Projects Via Istitlaa Platform
The National Competitiveness Center (NCC) has launched 40 projects on its Public Consultation Platform, Istitlaa. These projects, developed with 20 government bodies, invite feedback from the public, government entities, and private sector before approval. This initiative aims to enhance transparency and encourage public participation in shaping regulations.
The Saudi Electricity Regulatory Authority has introduced a significant project on Istitlaa called ‘Power Quality Rules and Standards.’ This project seeks to improve electrical service quality for consumers and allows the authority to monitor compliance with power quality standards. Feedback from the public is being accepted until a specified date.

Another notable project is the ‘Survey and Geospatial Information Law’ by the General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information. This initiative aims to regulate and develop the sector according to international best practices and modern technology. The public can provide their input on this project until a designated deadline.
The Real Estate General Authority is also seeking public opinion on its ‘Regulatory Sandbox Framework for PropTech.’ This framework aims to create a regulated environment where entrepreneurs and investors can test innovative business models under supervision. Public consultation for this project will remain open until a specified date.
By introducing draft regulations through Istitlaa, the NCC promotes transparency in legislation. This platform encourages citizens, government agencies, and private sectors to share insights on proposed business-related regulations. Such engagement ensures that diverse perspectives are considered in decision-making processes.
Istitlaa's approach not only fosters a culture of participation but also aligns with global standards by integrating technological advancements into regulatory frameworks. This collaborative effort between various stakeholders highlights Saudi Arabia's commitment to progressive governance.
This initiative reflects a broader strategy to involve different sectors in shaping policies that impact economic and development affairs. By doing so, it ensures that new regulations are well-informed and cater to the needs of all stakeholders involved.
