51 Winners Recognised In The 30th Sharjah Educational Excellence Award Ceremony
The Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) has revealed the winners of the 30th Sharjah Educational Excellence Award. This year, the award attracted 1,460 entries and celebrated 51 exceptional individuals and institutions. The recognition highlights achievements in both individual and institutional categories, showcasing a commitment to educational excellence.
In the Distinguished Individuals category, 38 students were honoured for their outstanding performance, including one from special categories. Additionally, three teachers, one educational leader, two individuals in supporting roles, and three parents received accolades for their contributions to education.

The Distinguished Institutions category saw honours awarded to one nursery and three schools. Suhaila Nursery was recognised as the Outstanding Nursery. Al Nahyaniya School secured first place in the Outstanding School category. Meanwhile, Al Hijrah Second Cycle Girls School and Al Manar Second Cycle Girls Model School shared second place.
Dr. Muhadditha Al Hashimi, Chairperson of SPEA, expressed gratitude towards His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi for sponsoring the award. She also praised the judging committees and work team for promoting a culture of excellence and creativity within education.
Among the winners were Chitra Raghavan and Srinivasaraghavan, who were recognised as Distinguished Educational Leaders. Teachers Saria Abdulrahman Naisha, Sherine Yahya Ramadan Shaldum, and Muhammad Ahmad Muhammad Al Bastawi were also acknowledged for their dedication to teaching.
Awards for Distinguished Supporting Jobs went to Yasser Muhammad Abdul Muttalib Ibrahim and Walaa Babakra Ahmad Al Mahi. Parent awards were given to Sandia Muhammad Al Rula Al Zayoudi, Johnish Joseph Joseph, and Naseer Arabi for their support in education.
Promoting Excellence in Education
Ali Al Hosani, Director-General of SPEA, commended the team behind the award's success this year. He highlighted its role in enhancing education quality while encouraging innovation and healthy competition among participants.
Alia Al Hosani, Director of the Award, emphasised its importance in promoting excellence by attracting creative talents. She noted that it supports high standards of transparency and quality within education while encouraging community involvement in fostering a culture of excellence.
The award recognised students from Grades 3 to 12 for their academic achievements. Notable mentions include Shamsa Ali Obaid Al Naqbi from Grade 12 and Maid Arif Al Minoon Al Zaabi from Special Categories.
This year's Sharjah Educational Excellence Award underscores a commitment to recognising outstanding contributions across various educational fields. It continues to inspire individuals and institutions to strive for higher standards in education.
