28th Annual World Investment Conference Begins In Riyadh Under Prince Mohammed Bin Salman's Patronage
The 28th World Investment Conference (WIC) commenced under the auspices of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Organised by Invest Saudi alongside the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA), this event runs from November 25 to 27. The gathering aims to unite investors, decision-makers, and experts to explore investment's role in the global economy.
Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih welcomed attendees at the opening ceremony. He expressed pride in hosting this significant international event. Al-Falih highlighted both challenges and opportunities for global investment amidst ongoing economic changes. "As this conference extends over three days, it is designed to foster a productive dialogue that emphasizes the diverse perspectives of the global investment scene," he stated.

Al-Falih underscored Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 as a blueprint for sustainable investment success. The Kingdom has seen a 70% economic growth surge recently. Foreign direct investment flows have tripled, and international investor registrations have increased tenfold since Vision 2030's inception. Over 1,200 international investors received premium residency permits for one year.
The minister urged participants to strengthen international cooperation in investments for sustainable growth. He praised collaborative efforts by investment promotion agencies and international bodies in meeting conference goals. These partnerships are crucial for achieving comprehensive development and addressing global economic challenges effectively.
