Public Invited To Provide Feedback On 28 Projects Via Istitlaa Platform
The National Competitiveness Center (NCC) has introduced 28 projects on its Public Consultation Platform, Istitlaa. These projects, related to economic and development affairs, are in collaboration with 12 government bodies. The NCC encourages feedback from the public, government entities, and the private sector before these projects receive approval.
Among the key initiatives is a project titled 'Regulations on Violations and Penalties in Infrastructure Projects,' crafted by the Riyadh Infrastructure Projects Center. This project aims to enhance regulations governing infrastructure work. Feedback on this proposal can be submitted through the Istitlaa platform.

The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing is also seeking public input on two significant projects. One is the 'Executive Regulation of the Idle Land Fees Law,' and the other is 'Site Requirements for Mobile Street Vendors.' These initiatives aim to improve standards for managing visual clutter, regulate street vending, and optimise fees for idle land to boost the real estate market.
Public consultation for these projects will remain open until July 23 and 25, 2025. The introduction of draft regulations and by-laws via Istitlaa highlights a commitment to transparency in legislative processes. This platform encourages public participation by allowing citizens, government agencies, and private sectors to share insights on proposed business environment regulations.
Istitlaa plays a crucial role in fostering a culture of engagement among various stakeholders. By enabling feedback from diverse groups, it ensures that proposed regulations are well-rounded and considerate of different perspectives. This approach not only enhances transparency but also strengthens the legislative framework.
Through these consultations, the NCC aims to create a more inclusive decision-making process. By involving multiple sectors in discussions about future regulations, they ensure that policies are comprehensive and effective. This collaborative effort reflects a modern approach to governance where public opinion is valued.
The ongoing efforts through Istitlaa demonstrate a commitment to improving Saudi Arabia's regulatory landscape. By inviting feedback from all sectors, the NCC ensures that new regulations are practical and beneficial for all stakeholders involved.
