Public Consultation Invites Feedback On 28 Economic Projects Via Istitlaa Platform

The National Competitiveness Center (NCC) is actively engaging the public through its Istitlaa platform, presenting 28 projects focused on economic and development matters. Collaborating with 12 government entities, the NCC seeks input from citizens, government bodies, and private sectors before these projects receive approval.

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has initiated a consultation for a project called ‘Voluntary Disclosure Regulations for the Waiver of Customs Violations.’ This initiative allows traders to pay customs duties voluntarily before ZATCA detects any violations. If they comply with specified conditions, they receive a full waiver of penalties and violations.

Feedback Sought on 28 Projects via Istitlaa

The Transport General Authority has introduced a significant project on the Istitlaa platform named ‘Executive Regulations for the Inspection, Maintenance, Repair, and Re-Certification of Marine Rescue Equipment and Devices.’ This project aims to regulate licensing for establishments involved in this activity. It outlines procedures for issuing, renewing, and canceling licenses while setting technical requirements for applicants.

Another project seeking public feedback is from the Public Security Directorate. It involves amending regulations related to agricultural product production lines and valuable documents. The goal is to enhance security measures in air transport activities and ensure the production of specific value documents.

The Research, Development, and Innovation Authority has also put forward a notable project titled ‘Regulation for the Support of Research, Development, and Innovation.’ This initiative aims to introduce provisions that foster research development within government procurement processes. Public feedback on this project remains open until further notice.

By introducing draft regulations through Istitlaa, transparency in legislative processes is affirmed. The platform encourages public participation by allowing citizens, government agencies, and private sectors to share insights on proposed business environment regulations.
