25 Projects Open For Public Feedback Through Istitlaa Platform To Enhance Development Initiatives

The National Competitiveness Center’s Public Consultation Platform, known as Istitlaa, has introduced 25 projects focused on economic and development matters. In collaboration with 12 government bodies, the NCC has invited public, governmental, and private sector feedback on these initiatives before they receive approval. This approach encourages transparency and public involvement in shaping regulations.

Among the key projects is the ‘Amendment of the Violation Table for Tourism Consultation Activities,’ crafted by the Ministry of Tourism. This initiative seeks to update and improve the violation table for tourist hospitality facilities to align with new regulations and industry standards. Feedback from the public is welcomed through the Istitlaa platform until a specified date.

Another significant project involves the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, which is gathering opinions on ‘Regulations for Issuing New Well Drilling Licenses on the Sedimentary Shelf (Non-Renewable Groundwater) for Agricultural and Livestock Projects.’ The goal is to safeguard water resources while ensuring their sustainable use. Public feedback will be accepted until a specific date.

The Capital Market Authority has proposed a ‘Regulatory Framework for Offshore Securities Business Licenses.’ This initiative aims to introduce licenses for offshore securities activities, establishing a comprehensive regulatory framework. Public consultation on this proposal will conclude at an announced time.

Additionally, the Saudi Food and Drug Authority is revising its laws through a project titled ‘Amendments to the General Food and Drug Authority Law and Food Law.’ This effort focuses on updating licensing and oversight regulations for food establishments. The public can provide their insights until a set date.

Encouraging Public Participation

Istitlaa's introduction of draft regulations and by-laws underscores its commitment to transparency in legislative processes. By allowing citizens, government entities, and private sectors to offer feedback on proposed business-related regulations, Istitlaa promotes a culture of public engagement in decision-making.
