Public Invited To Provide Feedback On 25 Economic Projects Via Istitlaa Platform

The National Competitiveness Center's Public Consultation Platform, known as Istitlaa, has introduced 25 projects focused on economic and development matters. Collaborating with 12 government bodies, the NCC has invited feedback from the public, government entities, and private sector before these projects receive approval.

Among the key initiatives is a project by the Ministry of Tourism titled ‘Amendment of the Violation Table for Tourism Consultation Activities.’ This project seeks to update and improve the violation table for tourist hospitality facilities to align with new regulations and industry standards. Feedback on this initiative can be provided through Istitlaa.

The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing is also seeking public input on a new regulatory framework called ‘Updates to Municipal Requirements for Transportation Service Centers in 2025.’ This project aims to enhance the business environment, aligning it with societal goals and aspirations. The consultation period for this project remains open.

In another effort, the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture is gathering public opinions on a project named ‘Regulations for Issuing New Well Drilling Licenses on the Sedimentary Shelf (Non-Renewable Groundwater) for Agricultural and Livestock Projects.’ This initiative focuses on preserving water resources while ensuring their sustainability. The public can provide feedback until the specified deadline.

The Capital Market Authority is working on a project titled ‘Regulatory Framework for Offshore Securities Business Licenses.’ This initiative aims to establish a license for offshore securities business operations and create a regulatory framework with specific provisions. Public consultation will remain open until its conclusion date.

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority has proposed amendments to existing laws under a new regulatory framework titled ‘Amendments to the General Food and Drug Authority Law and Food Law.’ This project intends to review and update licensing and oversight laws concerning food establishments. Feedback from the public will be accepted until the designated end date.

By introducing draft regulations, by-laws, and similar projects through Istitlaa, transparency in legislative processes is reinforced. The platform encourages public participation by allowing citizens, government bodies, and private sectors to share insights on proposed regulations affecting the business environment.
