24th Zayed Charity Run To Celebrate Sheikh Zayed's Legacy In Abu Dhabi This November
The 24th Zayed Charity Run, under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, will occur in Abu Dhabi on Saturday, 29 November 2025. Known globally as the kindest run, it honours the UAE’s Founding Father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, celebrating his values of generosity and compassion.
Participants of all ages can join the 3km, 5km, or 10km runs. The event promotes inclusivity and unity. Proceeds will support three research programmes at the Abu Dhabi Stem Cells Centre (ADSCC), focusing on cancer therapy, precision medicine for multiple sclerosis and type 1 diabetes, and innovative treatments from placental tissue.

The run begins at Wahat Al Karama and ends at ERTH Hotel Abu Dhabi. Both locations will transform into community villages with food kiosks, entertainment, and activities for families and spectators. This atmosphere enhances the event's spirit of togetherness.
Lt Gen (Rtd) Mohamed Helal Al Kaabi stated: "The Zayed Charity Run is more than a sporting event; it is a profound tribute to the timeless values of our Founding Father." He highlighted its role in uniting diverse nationalities in a celebration of health and giving.
Aref Hamad Al Awani from the Abu Dhabi Sports Council noted the UAE leadership's unwavering support for the run. This support underscores their commitment to embedding sports in community life to promote health and happiness.
Al Awani added: "The run stands as a symbol of civilisation that embodies the vision and values of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan." It continues to inspire generations through its legacy of giving and humanitarian work.
Global Movement for Kindness
Prof. Yendry Ventura from ADSCC expressed gratitude for the run's support. "We are honored that the Zayed Charity Run this year will be donating a portion of its proceeds to support our pioneering programs," he said. This partnership strengthens their mission in medical innovation.
Since its inception in 2001 under President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s vision, the run has become an international movement spreading kindness worldwide. From Abu Dhabi to New York, Cairo, Beijing, Rio de Janeiro, Miami, and Budapest, it fosters unity and hope globally.
