Dubai To Host The 22nd Arab Media Forum: A Vision For The Future Of Arab Media
Under the esteemed patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, the 22nd Arab Media Forum (AMF) is set to take place in Dubai from 27th to 29th May. This event, a cornerstone of the Mohammed bin Rashid Global Initiatives, is designed to deepen the understanding of the media landscape within the region and chart a course for future growth that aligns with the aspirations of the Arab populace.
H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, emphasized that the forum, initiated over two decades ago by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, serves as a critical platform for dialogue among Arab media leaders. This dialogue focuses on the sector's evolution and its pivotal role amidst regional transformations. The forum draws inspiration from Sheikh Mohammed's firm belief in media as a fundamental partner in development.

The AMF aims to unlock new opportunities for growth, creativity, and excellence within the media sector. Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and President of the Dubai Press Club, stressed the importance of strategic dialogue in navigating rapid global shifts. The forum seeks to pave new paths for innovation in media, supported by a knowledgeable and skilled talent base.
Over its two-decade history, the AMF has convened speakers from around the globe to discuss strategies for enhancing the media's positive influence on Arab societies. This year's edition will continue this tradition, with a focus on addressing industry challenges and opportunities.
The forum will kick off with the second Youth Media Forum on 27th May, aimed at empowering emerging media professionals and influencers. The following day will feature the 23rd Arab Media Award ceremony, celebrating regional media achievements. The event concludes with the Arab Social Media Influencers Award ceremony on Day 3, recognizing digital influencers across various categories.
Dr. Maitha bint Essa Buhumaid, Director of the Dubai Press Club (DPC), outlined this year's agenda as focusing on the rapidly evolving regional media landscape. The agenda is crafted in collaboration with media professionals to reflect accurately sectoral opportunities and challenges. This collaborative approach is key to fostering insightful discussions that address the shifting dynamics of the media industry.
