21st International Education Show Launches At Expo Centre Sharjah With Over 100 Universities Participating
The 21st International Education Show, a major educational event in the UAE, commenced at Expo Centre Sharjah and runs until October 11. This year, it features over 100 universities and academic institutions from more than 16 countries. Organised by Expo Sharjah with support from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and in partnership with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MoHESR), it offers future-focused programmes to guide students.
Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of SCCI and Expo Centre Sharjah, inaugurated this year's edition. The opening ceremony was attended by Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, along with senior officials and delegations from various countries. Attendees explored the exhibition's pavilions showcasing advanced academic programmes from global universities.

The show provides a platform for students and parents to explore diverse educational opportunities offered by renowned universities worldwide. Participating institutions hail from countries like the UK, Spain, Germany, Hungary, the US, Georgia, Malaysia, and India. The UAE's top national universities also participate, recognised as some of the region’s fastest-growing higher education establishments.
Al Owais stated that the show's launch reflects Sharjah’s vision to advance knowledge-based sectors. He emphasised that supporting this exhibition is an investment in economic sustainability and competitiveness. "By promoting high-quality education," he said, "the International Education Show contributes to building a qualified generation prepared to lead future-focused industries."
Saif Mohammed Al Midfa highlighted that the exhibition serves as an integrated educational platform hosted annually by Expo Centre Sharjah. It facilitates direct access to information on admissions, scholarships, and academic specialisations through collaboration with partners. This helps streamline decision-making for students seeking informed choices in their academic paths.
The exhibition showcases a wide range of academic programmes designed to equip youth with skills needed in today's competitive job market. Visitors can explore fields such as medicine, engineering, business administration, among others. It also introduces students to admission criteria at top UAE universities like Higher Colleges of Technology and United Arab Emirates University (UAEU).
Advanced Academic Programmes
The 2025 edition features advanced academic programmes across all disciplines offered by universities globally. With participation from leading institutions and EdTech companies, it highlights innovations in educational technology while showcasing smart learning solutions. Visitors can access detailed information on university courses and postgraduate scholarships.
The show draws tens of thousands annually with workshops and seminars led by scholars focusing on aligning academic choices with job market demands. It highlights essential future skills while providing opportunities for direct engagement with university representatives to help students make informed decisions about their careers.
The exhibition welcomes female students on Wednesday from 08:00 to 14:00 and male students on Thursday during the same hours. On Friday and Saturday, it opens to students and families from 15:00 to 21:00.
