Public Invited To Provide Feedback On 21 Economic Projects Via Istitlaa Platform

The National Competitiveness Center (NCC) has launched 21 projects on its Istitlaa platform, focusing on economic and development issues. In collaboration with 14 government bodies, the NCC seeks input from the public, government entities, and private sector before finalising these projects.

One significant project is the ‘Municipal Violations for the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu,’ developed by the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu. This initiative aims to establish a list of fines and penalties for municipal violations. Public feedback is encouraged until a specified deadline.

The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture is also seeking public opinion on a new regulatory framework called ‘Updated Guide to Controls and Requirements for Granting Agricultural Labor Endorsement.’ This framework will help service providers and agricultural practitioners obtain necessary workforce endorsements. Feedback is open until a designated date.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing has introduced a project titled ‘Municipal Requirements for a Sidewalk Occupancy Permit.’ This initiative focuses on maintaining smooth traffic flow on sidewalks, preventing pedestrian obstructions, enhancing urban aesthetics, and reducing visual clutter. Public comments are welcome until a set deadline.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development invites feedback on its new project, ‘Procedural Guide for Adapting Vocational Training Programs for Persons with Disabilities.’ This guide aims to clarify accreditation criteria for vocational training programs tailored for individuals with disabilities. The consultation period ends on a specified date.

Additionally, the Insurance Authority seeks public input on the ‘Insurance Law’ project. This initiative aims to develop Saudi Arabia's insurance sector by promoting stability, protecting rights, regulating competition, fostering innovation, and supporting localization efforts. Feedback is accepted until an announced deadline.

Transparency Through Public Consultation

The Istitlaa platform plays a crucial role in introducing draft regulations and by-laws transparently. It encourages public participation by allowing citizens, government agencies, and private sectors to share insights on proposed business environment regulations.

This approach fosters transparency in legislative processes while enabling diverse stakeholders to contribute their perspectives. Such engagement ensures that regulations are well-informed by those they impact most directly.
