Seventeen Elite Horses Set To Compete For UAE President’s Cup Title In Morocco Tomorrow
The UAE President’s Cup Series for Purebred Arabian Horses is set to continue with its second leg at the Anfa sand racetrack in Casablanca, Morocco. This event, part of the 32nd edition, is under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The race is a significant part of the UAE-Moroccan Festival and features eight races with a prize fund of €250,000.
The Moroccan leg will see 17 elite horses from Morocco, North Africa, and Europe compete in a 2,100-meter Group 3 race for horses aged four and above. Among the top contenders are BURAAK by MAHABB-SHUMOOS, GHASHAM by Dahess out of Al Kadi, VICA GRINE by AF ALBAHAR-DARKA DU FALGAS, and GASSAAN by RB BURN-DJEZIKA.

The UAE leadership continues to support the President’s Cup Series with a vision to elevate Arabian horse racing globally. Their aim is to empower breeders and owners while preserving the legacy of Arabian horses. This support has been crucial in expanding the series' influence across North Africa and Europe.
Faisal Al Rahmani, Secretary General of the Higher Organising Committee of the UAE President’s Cup Series for Purebred Arabian Horses, stated, "The early signs of this exceptional edition highlight the transformative impact of H.H. With record participation across the opening rounds, the President’s Cup continues to affirm its growing prestige among owners and stables. The presence of 17 contenders in the Moroccan round underscores the Cup’s expanding influence across North Africa and Europe, aligning perfectly with our ambition to build a modern, globally recognised racing system."
This year marks a historic moment as the UAE-Moroccan Festival is held under the Cup's banner for the first time. Featuring 103 horses across eight races, it provides an international platform for Moroccan talents to showcase their skills. The festival aims to enhance standards in breeding and acquisitions among Arabian horse owners.
Al Rahmani further commented on this strong start: "This strong start reflects a collective push by Arabian horse owners and breeders to raise their standards in breeding and acquisitions, reinforcing the long-term objectives of the President’s Cup. The UAE-Moroccan Festival, held for the first time under the Cup’s banner, features 103 horses across eight races—marking a historic moment for our new vision and an incredible platform for Moroccan talents to shine on the international stage."
Other notable entrants include Lamine Bouznika, Mamouni Fal, Al Awal, Al Najeeb, Amine Grine, Matrix Al Ashai, Nayel Maamora, Zain El Hala, Zayash Maamora, Al Zaraffa Cham, Rislou Fal, Sawt Essalam RM and Der’h Al Shahania.
The ongoing support from UAE leadership aims to create a globally recognised racing system while empowering breeders worldwide. The series not only celebrates Arabian horse heritage but also seeks to modernise racing practices internationally.
