13th Global Sustainability And CSR Forum In Dubai Urges International Collaboration For Sustainable Growth
Dubai played host to the concluding sessions of the 13th cycle of the Global Sustainability and CSR Forum, an event that has grown to become a cornerstone for dialogue on sustainable growth under the banner "Sustainable Growth: Orchestrating a Global Change."
This edition marked a significant milestone as the forum transitioned into a global platform, emphasizing the need for collaborative efforts that transcend national boundaries.

The event, which spanned two days, drew attention to the urgency of global collective action in the realms of sustainability and corporate social responsibility.
The Forum's commencement featured keynote speeches from distinguished figures such as H.E. Eng. Sigit Reliantoro from Indonesia, H.E. Ms. Bérangère Boëll of the United Nations, and Ms. Sarah Shaw of Majra, highlighting the forum’s commitment to fostering sustainable development.
The event, under the patronage of the Ministry of Economy & Tourism, brought together a diverse mix of participants including ministers, UN officials, business leaders, academics, and youth changemakers, creating a rich environment for innovation and collaboration.
H.H. Sheikh Eng. Salem bin Sultan bin Saqr Al Qasimi underscored the United Arab Emirates' commitment to sustainability, referencing the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
He highlighted the UAE's achievements in integrating sustainability and social responsibility into its development agenda. The Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah's initiatives towards promoting the green economy and innovation were also spotlighted, demonstrating the nation's commitment to sustainable development.
The forum's first day included a special fireside chat with H.E. Dr. Ameenah Gurib-Fakim, discussing biodiversity conservation and sustainable development, alongside three plenary sessions focused on circular economy, food systems, and cross-border collaboration for water scarcity solutions.
The discussions underscored the importance of collective participation and innovation in tackling global sustainability challenges. The day concluded with a youth panel, showcasing young leaders' efforts in driving sustainable change.
On the second day, Maha Al Gargawi and Dr. Youssef Al Assaf opened with keynotes, leading into sessions on energy optimisation, green investments, and reimagining development models.
These discussions highlighted the convergence of technology, policy, and partnerships in achieving sustainability goals, the role of green finance in sustainable development, and the importance of urban sustainability and youth empowerment.
A fireside chat with Eugene Mayne of Tristar Group provided insights into sustainable business leadership.
Reflecting on the forum's success, Ms. Habiba Al Mar'ashi and Eugene Mayne emphasized the collective effort required for sustainable growth and the strategic importance of sustainable finance. Maha Al Gargawi also praised the forum's role in advancing Dubai Chambers’ commitment to sustainability.
The forum drew support from numerous sponsors, including Tristar Group, McDonald's UAE, Al Sayer Group, and Majra – National CSR Fund. Partnerships with Dubai Chambers, the University of Dubai, and various media and environmental entities underscored the collaborative effort behind the forum, which was certified carbon neutral by Farnek.
