Public Consultation Invites Feedback On 13 Economic Projects Via Istitlaa Platform

The National Competitiveness Center (NCC) has introduced 13 projects on its Public Consultation Platform, Istitlaa. These initiatives, developed with nine government bodies, invite feedback from the public, government entities, and private sector before approval. This approach aims to enhance transparency and encourage public involvement in shaping regulations.

One significant project is the ‘Health, Technical, and Safety Requirements for Individuals’ Collective Housing,’ crafted by the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing. This initiative seeks to regulate the establishment and operation of collective housing for individuals. The public can provide their insights on this project through the Istitlaa platform.

The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture is also seeking input on a new regulatory framework titled ‘Procedure Guide for Veterinary and Agricultural Quarantine.’ This project focuses on regulating activities related to agricultural and veterinary quarantine. It aims to complete provisions of the executive regulations of the agricultural system.

Another notable project is from the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources. They are inviting feedback on ‘Special Requirements for Quartz Mineral: Silicon Dioxide (SiO2).’ This initiative aims to ensure optimal use of quartz due to its strategic importance in advanced industries.

The introduction of draft regulations and by-laws via Istitlaa highlights a commitment to transparency in legislation. By allowing citizens, government agencies, and private sectors to contribute feedback, Istitlaa promotes a culture of public participation in business-related regulations.

Through these consultations, stakeholders have an opportunity to influence policies that impact economic and development affairs. The NCC's efforts reflect a broader strategy to engage diverse perspectives in decision-making processes.

This inclusive approach not only fosters collaboration but also ensures that proposed regulations align with the needs and expectations of various sectors within Saudi Arabia.
