Later in the day, the Louvre Abu Dhabi Museum will host an evening Yoga session from 18:45 to 19:45 hrs. Interested participants can sign up for this session by visiting the museum's website, with registration ensuring their participation in the event. This arrangement allows Yoga enthusiasts to experience the practice in a culturally and historically rich setting, further enhancing the day's significance.

Special Arrangements for Participants

To accommodate participants, the organisers will provide Yoga mats, IDY T-shirts, water, and healthy refreshments on a first-come, first-served basis. These provisions aim to ensure a comfortable and enriching experience for all attendees, emphasising the day's focus on health and well-being.

Since the proclamation of IDY by the United Nations in 2014, following India's proposal endorsed by a record 175 member states, the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi has been actively celebrating this day. The choice of June 21 for the International Day of Yoga reflects its growing popularity as a holistic approach to health and wellness globally.

Last year's celebration saw the participation of Dr. S. Jaishankar, the External Affairs Minister of India, underscoring the event's significance. The annual celebration not only reinforces the message of Yoga but also raises awareness about its positive impact on global health.

The 11th International Day of Yoga in Abu Dhabi promises to be a grand celebration, with the Embassy of India at the forefront of organising events that highlight the unity and health benefits of Yoga. Through the involvement of global experts, dignitaries, and the community, the event aims to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of Yoga's role in promoting a healthier and more holistic lifestyle.
