1 Billion Followers Summit 2025 Concludes Successfully With Over 15,000 Participants And Global Leaders
The third edition of the 1 Billion Followers Summit 2025 concluded after hosting over 15,000 content creators and influencers, alongside 420 speakers. Organised by the UAE Government Media Office, this event focused on "Content For Good" and took place at Dubai's Emirates Towers, DIFC, and the Museum of the Future. The next edition is scheduled for 9th to 11th January 2026 under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
This year's summit built upon previous successes with a more comprehensive agenda. It attracted over 125 CEOs, leading experts, and influencers globally. More than ten investment funds, totalling AED 50 million, participated to support content creators across various fields. The event underscored the UAE's strategic vision for a sustainable economic sector rich with opportunities in content creation.

Mohammad Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, stated, "The remarkable success of the 1 Billion Followers Summit, reflected in the growth of engagement among content creators and key players in this vital sector shaping the future, provides a strong impetus for further growth in future editions." He emphasised that this global platform showcased UAE’s leadership in advancing this promising economic sector.
Saeed Al Eter highlighted that the summit strengthened UAE’s position as a global hub uniting stakeholders driving progress in content creation. He noted that it attracted many young content creators worldwide. "We firmly believe that youth are the primary drivers of the future of content creation," he added. The summit offered a dynamic platform dedicated to empowering youth and shaping their future.
Alia AlHammadi remarked on the summit's significance as a pivotal milestone. She said it brought together influencers and stakeholders globally to address pressing issues in content creation. Guided by "Content for Good," it inspired innovative discussions and forged new partnerships while promoting high-value content production for societal development.
Initiatives and Competitions
The summit introduced initiatives like the One Billion Award valued at US$1 million for purposeful content creators. It also featured extensive participation from major social media platforms and other significant events invigorating the sector. AlHammadi stated their dedication to building on these achievements in future editions to align with rapid advancements in digital media.
The event facilitated connections between influencers, investors, entrepreneurs, and key stakeholders through over 340 sessions across three tracks: economy, content, and technology. Winners of the 1 Billion Pitches competition were announced at the summit's end. This competition supports startups with pioneering ideas by offering financial backing.
Global Participation and Future Prospects
The competition received applications from 40 countries covering diverse fields like education, technology, women’s empowerment, health, entrepreneurship, etc. Twenty-five finalists advanced to semi-finals; ten competed in finals. The winner of the One Billion Award was announced on day three; it celebrated creators with inspiring positive content from nearly 190 countries.
Leading social media platforms such as Snapchat, X (formerly Twitter), YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, Meta (Facebook), Instagram, and WhatsApp participated this year. Representatives discussed future trends in content creation including building impactful content while protecting intellectual property rights using AI tools among others.
As this edition concludes successfully with impactful results strengthening UAE’s position globally within this thriving economy sector—future editions promise continued growth fostering innovation among young talents worldwide ensuring alignment with evolving digital landscapes demanding agility forward-thinking approaches without fail!
