Guess Who's Back On Stage? Will Smith's Epic Return At The BET Awards!
Will Smith is returning to the music scene and will be performing at this year's BET Awards. The Oscar-winning actor and four-time GRAMMY winner will debut a new original song during the event. Connie Orlando, BET's EVP of Specials, Music Programming & Music, expressed her excitement about Smith's return to the stage, stating that he is "truly a global icon."
This year's awards show will feature an impressive line-up of live performers, including Lauryn Hill, YG Marley, Ice Spice, Tyla, GloRilla, Latto, Muni Long, Sexyy Red, Shaboozey and Victoria Monét. Taraji P. Henson will host the event for the third time on Sunday, June 30 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
Usher to receive Lifetime Achievement BET Award
The 2024 BET Awards will also pay special tribute to Usher by presenting him with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement BET Award. The 45-year-old singer will join a distinguished list of previous recipients such as Whitney Houston, Prince, Queen Latifah, Anita Baker, Mary J. Blige, Samuel Jackson, Lionel Richie, New Edition and Busta Rhymes.
The awards ceremony is set to air live on BET on Sunday, June 30 at 8 p.m.
