Abdullah Al-Qahtani, CEO of the Film Commission, emphasized the commission's commitment to reviewing and enhancing all processes associated with the cinema sector. The objective is to improve the customer experience by making the licensing process more efficient and user-friendly for stakeholders within the film industry.
Enhanced Support and Reduced Fees

In a bid to encourage the proliferation of cinemas, the commission's board has decided to lower the fees associated with cinema licenses. An even more notable support measure is the waiving of operational license fees for three years, up until 2027. This exemption applies to all forms of cinema establishments, including permanent, temporary, and special cinema halls. Stakeholders looking to benefit from these new regulations and fee adjustments can apply through the unified electronic platform, Abde'a, streamlining the process for industry players.
