MAD Solutions Films Garner Accolades At Toronto Arab Film Festival

MAD Solutions' films have recently been recognized at the Toronto Arab Film Festival, with Karim Bensalah's SIX FEET OVER winning the Nakheel Award for Best Feature Film and Hend Bakr's THE TEDIOUS TOUR OF M receiving an Honorable Mention for Best Feature Film. SIX FEET OVER, an Algerian-French drama, has previously won awards at the Montpellier Film Festival, Red Sea International Film Festival, and Angers First Film Festival. The film follows Sof, a student in Lyon whose visa has been revoked, as he works for a Muslim funeral home and embarks on a journey of self-discovery.

THE TEDIOUS TOUR OF M: Exploring a Writer's Solitude

Hend Bakr's Egyptian documentary, THE TEDIOUS TOUR OF M, delves into the life of renowned writer Mohamed Hafez Ragab, who chose to self-isolate for 30 years and abandon writing at the height of his career. The film has been screened at various festivals, including the Aswan International Women's Film Festival and the Independent International Documentary Film Festival (OSA) in Moscow, where it won a Special Jury Mention for Humanity and Continuity. It is set to be shown at Cairo's Zawya Cinema in July.

Both films are being distributed by MAD Distribution; SIX FEET OVER is also being handled by The Party Film Sales for worldwide distribution, while MAD World is managing worldwide sales for THE TEDIOUS TOUR OF M.
