UAE FA Introduces Financial Support Programme For First Division Clubs
The UAE Football Association (UAE FA) has introduced the Sports Excellence Funding Programme aimed at offering financial, technical, administrative and logistical assistance to First Division League clubs. Led by President of the Football Association Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the association has set aside Dh12.5 million per year for the programme starting from the 4-2025 sports season.
The funding will be distributed among clubs based on their final rankings in the Division League. Participating clubs will receive financial rewards based on their positions on the leaderboard.
The criteria for receiving these rewards include providing financial support to the technical staff of the youth sector, with three national coaches per club under specific conditions. Additionally, financial assistance will be provided for hiring a medical officer, following classifications approved by health authorities.
