Spain's Young Prodigies Yamal And Williams Touted As Divine Gifts By Coach De La Fuente
Spain's national football team is gearing up for Euro 2024 with high hopes, bolstered by the talents of Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams. Spain's coach, Luis de la Fuente, has praised these young players, describing them as having a "gift from God." Spain, three-time European champions, will face Croatia in their opening Group B match on Saturday.
Spain enters the tournament in excellent form, having recently defeated Andorra and Northern Ireland with scores of 5-0 and 5-1, respectively. Yamal and Williams are among LaLiga's most promising young attackers. De la Fuente highlighted Yamal's exceptional talent, noting that he possesses qualities that only a select few have. The Barcelona teenager has contributed to five goals in his seven appearances for Spain.

Despite his football commitments, Yamal has revealed that he will be doing his school homework during the tournament. De la Fuente emphasized the importance of humility and education for Yamal's development. He also confirmed that defender Aymeric Laporte will not be available for the match against Croatia.
"They are special footballers, Nico too, that makes them different from the rest," said De la Fuente. However, there is no certainty that either Yamal or Williams will start against Croatia. "You might take it for granted that Nico and Lamine play tomorrow, you might think it's a surprise if they don't, but it wouldn't be for me," added the coach.
Croatia's coach, Zlatko Dalic, expressed confidence in Josko Gvardiol's ability to handle any attacker he faces. Gvardiol has had a strong season at Manchester City and is considered one of Croatia's key players. "He's capable of stopping any attacker on the Spain team," said Dalic. "I hope he will stop Pedri, Yamal and all the others."
Spain has a strong track record at the European Championships, having lost only two of their last 22 matches (excluding shoot-outs). These losses were against Croatia and Italy in 2016. Spain has reached the knockout stages in six of their last seven appearances, with the only exception being in 2004.
| Player | Appearances | Goals | Assists |

The anticipation surrounding Spain's young talents adds an intriguing layer to their Euro 2024 campaign. As they prepare to face Croatia, all eyes will be on how these promising players perform on the big stage.
