Cubarsi, Llorente, Garcia Excluded From Spain's Euro 2024 Final Squad

Pau Cubarsi, Marcos Llorente, and Aleix Garcia have been excluded from Luis de la Fuente's Spain squad for Euro 2024. De la Fuente initially named a 29-man roster last month, featuring a youthful composition as Spain aims to reclaim European glory in Germany.

Cubarsi started Spain's friendly win over Andorra, assisting Ayoze Perez for his debut goal. Despite his impressive breakout season in LaLiga, the 17-year-old has been left out in favour of more experienced centre-backs such as Robin Le Normand, Nacho, Aymeric Laporte, and Dani Vivian.

Marcos Llorente also misses out, while Cubarsi's fellow Barcelona youngster Fermin Lopez retains his place after providing an assist in his first international appearance on Wednesday. Aleix Garcia is another midfielder not included despite his notable performance with Girona, where he scored three goals and provided six assists as they finished third in LaLiga during the 2023-24 season.

Spain will kick off their Euro 2024 campaign against Croatia in Group B on June 15. They will then face Italy and Albania in their remaining group matches.
