Manchester City Welcomes Savinho On A Five-Year Contract Ahead Of New Season
Manchester City have finalised the acquisition of Savinho from Troyes on a five-year contract. This marks Pep Guardiola's first signing for the 2024-25 season, as City aim to continue their four-year dominance in the Premier League.
The 20-year-old Brazilian forward, who recently participated in Brazil's Copa America campaign, will don the number 26 jersey at Etihad Stadium. He is expected to make his debut against Manchester United in the Community Shield on August 10.

During his loan spell with Girona last season, Savinho was instrumental in their success. He scored 11 goals and provided 10 assists, leading them to a third-place finish in LaLiga and securing their first-ever qualification for the Champions League.
Expressing his excitement about joining Manchester City, Savinho said on the club's official website, "I'm so happy to be joining Manchester City, the Premier League champions and Club World Cup winners."
Savinho also shared his enthusiasm about working under Pep Guardiola. "Everyone knows they are the best team in the world right now, so to be here is very exciting for me. I'm excited about the chance to work under Pep Guardiola, one of the greatest coaches ever, and someone I know will help me improve even more," he stated.
The young forward reflected on his time in Spain and expressed eagerness for new challenges. "I had an amazing time in Spain, and I'm looking forward to a new challenge of playing in the Premier League and alongside some of the best players in the world," he added.
Meeting New Team-Mates
Savinho is keen to meet his new team-mates and fans. "I can't wait to meet the fans and my new team-mates and hopefully be a part of bringing more success to City," he concluded.
