Saka Confident Of England's Enhanced Performance Ahead Of Denmark Encounter
Bukayo Saka has expressed confidence that England can elevate their performance as they prepare for their Group C match against Denmark in Frankfurt. The Three Lions commenced their Euro 2024 campaign with a 1-0 victory over Serbia last Sunday, thanks to Jude Bellingham's fourth international goal. Despite the win, England supporters were left desiring more, as Serbia dominated the game post-break and were arguably unlucky not to secure a point.
Saka, participating in his third major tournament for England, played a crucial role in Bellingham's goal by delivering a precise cross to the Real Madrid star. Alongside Phil Foden, Harry Kane, and Bellingham, the Arsenal forward is part of an impressive array of attacking options for Gareth Southgate. However, Saka believes there is still room for improvement ahead of their encounter with Denmark.

"Yeah, a bit you could say that," Saka responded when asked if England's attacking display against Serbia was fluid. "You could say that for the goal, but I think there is a new level to come from us."

The 22-year-old was part of the England squad that reached the final at Euro 2020 and started in the semi-final against Denmark, which England won 2-1 after extra time at Wembley. Reflecting on their upcoming opponents, Saka said, "Denmark are a good team and provide a good challenge. We played them at the last Euros, and it went to extra-time, but we won in the end. That was a very special night."
England arrived in Germany as one of the favourites to win Euro 2024 following their performances in recent major tournaments. Saka has become a key player under Southgate's leadership and believes this squad is the best it has been during his tenure.
"I would like to say so. The experience also makes us better. A lot of us were there at that tournament and the World Cup as well. We learned things from playing together which makes us better, so I would say so," Saka added.
