Rangers Not Complacent In Upcoming Clash With Ross County

Philippe Clement, the head coach of Rangers, is gearing up for what he anticipates to be a challenging match against Ross County in Dingwall this Sunday. Despite Rangers' dominant track record against Ross County, with 20 wins out of 24 encounters and only four draws, Clement is not resting on historical laurels. The most recent draw in January 2022 saw Ross County's Matthew Wright securing a stoppage-time equaliser for a 3-3 draw, highlighting the unpredictable nature of football.

The two cinch Premiership clashes this season saw Rangers securing a 2-0 victory away last August under Michael Beale's management before Clement took over in October, followed by a 3-1 win at Ibrox in February. These victories, however, do not detract from the respect and preparation Clement insists on maintaining for every opponent. "I read from their manager that they are super-motivated and want to do something special," Clement remarked, acknowledging the determination Ross County brings to the field.

Rangers Ready for Ross County

Rangers' preparation for the upcoming game has been anything but straightforward. The team's schedule was disrupted due to the postponement of Wednesday night's game against Dundee at Dens Park, caused by a waterlogged pitch deemed unplayable by referee Don Robertson. This marked the second cancellation of the fixture, with the initial attempt called off last month shortly before kick-off. The rescheduled game is set for next Wednesday night on Tayside, with considerations for a neutral venue if adverse weather persists.

Clement expressed his adaptability in the face of these scheduling challenges, stating, "We had to change plans. It is a different preparation but no excuse towards the game on Sunday." He emphasized his no-excuses philosophy and his commitment to adapting strategies to secure wins regardless of external circumstances. "I am not somebody who wants to have excuses if we need to change plans," he added, underlining his proactive approach to management and game planning.

This weekend's match promises to be an intriguing encounter as Rangers aim to maintain their impressive record against Ross County while facing the latter's determined effort to make their mark. With both teams showing strong motivation and adaptability, fans are in for a compelling display of Premiership football.
