PSG Eyes Domestic Treble In Coupe De France Final Versus Resurgent Lyon

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are aiming to conclude the season with a domestic treble by winning the Coupe de France on Saturday. Coach Luis Enrique remains cautious ahead of facing Lyon. PSG secured the Ligue 1 title for the third consecutive year, having already clinched the Trophee des Champions in January.

Lyon, who endured a challenging start with ten games without a win, saw a significant turnaround after Pierre Sage took charge in November. Luis Enrique acknowledged Lyon's improvement, noting that Sage has won 20 out of 27 games. "He turned it around for a team that started with many difficulties," Enrique told reporters on Friday.

PSG vs Lyon: A Battle for the Treble

Enrique anticipates a tough match against Lyon, who finished sixth in the league and qualified for next season's Europa League. Despite PSG's 4-1 victories over Lyon both home and away in the league, Enrique warned against underestimating their opponents. "They are very dangerous on the ball and can hurt any team," he said.

Saturday will mark Kylian Mbappe's final appearance for PSG, ending a seven-year tenure during which he helped the club win the league six times. "Of course he will start," Enrique confirmed about Mbappe. The match holds special significance as PSG fans have a deep connection with the Coupe de France, which the club has won 14 times.

PSG are determined to secure another victory to cap off their season perfectly. The team's focus remains on overcoming Lyon's formidable challenge and achieving their goal of a domestic treble.
