Postecoglou Stays Loyal To Tottenham Amidst England Manager Talks
Ange Postecoglou has emphasised his commitment to Tottenham amid speculation linking him with the England managerial role. Gareth Southgate announced his resignation as England head coach after an eight-year stint, having managed 102 games and leading the team to two major tournament finals.
Tottenham began their pre-season with a 5-1 victory over Hearts. Postecoglou highlighted that his primary focus is on preparing Spurs for the upcoming season. "I am at the start of pre-season and am the Tottenham manager, so I have got nothing else [on my mind] but trying to bring success to this football club," he told Sky Sports. "Until I do that, there is no point in me thinking about anything else."

Southgate's tenure saw England reach more major tournament finals in four attempts than they had in their previous 23 World Cup and Euro appearances combined. Despite this success, he became the first manager in European Championship history to lose two finals, following England's defeat to Spain in Berlin.

Potential Candidates for England Job
With Southgate stepping down, England are searching for a new manager. Postecoglou is among the potential candidates, alongside Eddie Howe, Graham Potter, and Pep Guardiola. However, Postecoglou remains focused on his current role at Tottenham.
Postecoglou's International Experience
Postecoglou has prior international management experience with Australia from 2013 to 2017. During his tenure, Australia qualified for the 2018 World Cup and won the Asia Cup. Reflecting on his time with Australia, he said, "I enjoyed my time [with Australia]. I had four great years... but with all these things there is always a natural end."
